I have a 1990 Cutlass cierra. The car will start and run for about 30 or until you give it gas, then it immediately stalls. I am getting a code 42. Also the radio antennae wants to keep going. Can you tell me what is wrong and what I need to do to fix it. Thank you

Some of the early 90s GMs had a computer that needs to LEARN! If You have disconnected the battery they can act up and stall for a while. If just that it will go away. Check for the obvious vacuum leaks also. As for the antennae - (I think it's in the back on that car) Just unplug it. Just the power to it while it's up so it will still work. It's got brain damage and could cost you 100s to fix and bet you don't want to on a nearing 16 year old car. They sell entire replacemnts that don't move for under $15 that are solid and will go thru a car wash. GM decided that the dang things should go up and down every time you touch the radio or the car and they don't last! The antennae will but the motor controls go nuts. The original will NOT survive a car wash.
