so about 6 years ago, we bought a used 2007 ford escape 4wd with the v-6 engine. roughly a year and a half ago, the oem flex pipe broke, and we had it replaced (i bought the part on eBay), and when it arrived, i noticed the inside portion looked like the old snowmobile flex pipe from the 1960's. well, its starting to get noisy again, and i have to wonder if there isn't a better solution. besides buying the entire pipe from Ford at a crazy expensive amount.

Just take the truck to an exhaust specialty shop. They will weld a flex section in cheaper than you can buy the parts. They do them all the time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
