1978 Ford Thunderbird, 351 5.8, 83,000 miles
Where is the fuel pump located? I took the sending unit off the tank thinking it would be there.

Driver's side of the engine. Bolted to the timing cover. Follow the fuel line from the carb and you'll find it.

Thanks, that was very helpful. I even tried taking out a repair manual at my library and they didn't have one for that year. Looking online was fruitless until now. Thanks again.

Fuel injected cars are in the tank and electric. Carbed cars are manual and run off the engine.
