03 Eclipse oil pressure

I have a 2.4l 2003 mitsubishi eclipse that has some odd symptoms at idle. The oil light comes on, the temp gauge goes up, and the heater starts blowing cold air. Coolant levels are fine, the radiator fan works, and there aren't any visible leaks, so I assume the engine temperature increases due to low oil pressure (no idea how that effects the heater). Once I get the rpms above 1200ish the oil light goes out and the temp needle moves immediately back down to normal. Anyone have any theories?

You really need to chase this down at once as this could be an engine killer. Heat will quit when engine coolant is boiling - that explains that part. The low oil pressure could be super thin oil due to heat and lower rpms to build pressure, T
