Check engine light on? Does it restart right after it stalls out? Does it only stall out when your foot isn't on the gas? Is this the SOHC 2.0L? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

What trouble code(s) is being stored in the engine computer for the check engine light? Does it start right back up after it had stalled out? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Few things that could cause it to stall at stops or when coming to a stop without your foot on the gas. EGR is stuck open. The code you have is a insufficient EGR flow, but it is possible the valve could be staying open when it gets hot at engine idle speeds causing the engine to stall. Easy way to figure that out is to unplug and cap the vacuum line going to the ESM (exhaust gas recirculation system module) vacuum solenoid. Drive the vehicle and see your problem goes away. Idle air control issue. A faulty idle air control motor or even a dirty throttle body could cause stalling at idle speeds. TCC staying locked up. Torque converter clutch isn't disengaged while your coming to a stop causing the engine to stall out like a manual transmission would cause an engine to stall out if you didn't disengage the clutch. Those are some areas to rule out. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
