04 expedition wont start

drove car all morning went to start it later on the car wouldn't turn over, tried jumping it dashboard went crazy lights blinking, gauges were jumping as we tried to start it. then nothing at all. checked battery it was dead so replaced it, still nothing anyone else have this problem? HELP

I'd begin with checking and cleaning up all battery cable connections. Pos cable all the way to the starter and all connections. Neg should just go to the engine block. All those must be known good and may be the whole fix,
