Hi, I'm mike.
Anyway, my 07 has had a problem with the rotor on the drivers side wearing down, brakes wearing down too quickly. 3 months almost everytime. I've had to replace twice now. Thinking caliper?

OK, let's remain with one problem per thread. Start another question for your coolant issue.

There are a number of things that can cause uneven braking that have to be inspected/tested.

Look for

  • frozen caliper piston
  • frozen caliper slides
  • internally swollen/ruptured rubber flex hose
  • contaminated fluid
  • master not releasing fully
  • driver with foot resting on pedal when driving

We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

One brake doing that would usually be a caliper or flex hose to it not allowing it to release. Do both sides equally with brakes.

Strained noise? Probably has to be witnessed. You could try taking belt off and spin items one by one for a problem and quick run engine such that if noise is still there it isn't a belt driven item making the noise.

Coolant leak and odor. Smacks of a heater core leaking which may not make a puddle inside car - YET.

Three issues here and don't think they are related to each other,

T
