I was changing a filter under the bonnet of the car and accidently disconnected a thin wire that was connected to the turbo and can no longer find where the connection goes to.

Van still works but has dramatic reduction in power.

Thanks for your time.

OK - first trouble is the is a US based site so very limited on specific wiring for this.

Why are you here? YOU disconnected this wire and now lost or can't find where it went? How can anyone guess what you did or broke? Go back to what you did and look if it takes lights and mirrors to find the connection now disconnected,

a reduction in power so scan for codes the unplugged wire will likely be the affected system- then a a component search...

falaise: Try this: You do see this wire and know ALL problems began with it left unhooked - right? Understood. When/if just something of the sort happens put things back in place with the pig-tail of wire you do have and see how far it reaches that it could match up with.
Electrical things of all sorts just don't plug into wrong things they have plugs and shapes to prevent that.

Now if you broke something or wire is messed up that's another story.

IDK - Retired as says below but still would do some. When times came to find where something was or how to get at - any odd something I would go to a junkyard and look at an exact same vehicle hopefully with what I was looking for info only was intact.

Common reasons would be for me vacuum hoses mixed up and no markings, access to bulbs, removal of lenses, covers or whatevers including how wires were routed or hidden into a loom of wires in YOUR case is possible.

My point remains - it happened exactly when you did something so go back for this already said how far can the wire reach that you do see? It should be there or close where you plug it back in,
