1977 ford 400, start and run?

1977 ford 400, just got this old truck and drove it home. it started and ran just find. But now it will not run, when i start it , it will run as long as i am cranking but just as soon as i let off the key it dies?

Sounds like you have power to the ignition coil in the crank position, but not the run (on) position. To confirm check for power at the coil with the ignition in the run position. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
