I have had a well running 1984 dodge ram d150 for about a year now. I recently went off to college and when I came back the truck seemed as though a brake of some sort is holding it back from movving at all. I have check all possible parking and emergency brakes but that is not it. When I try to back it out of the garage, I have to hold the gas down nearly all the way just to go about a foot and then it jerks then stops. My sister says the front tires aren't moving but the spin freely when I go forward but I can still feel a slight resistance with a jerk at the end. I don't know if this description is very good but I could use any help or advice you can give and if you need further clarification on anything I'll try to answer it. I don't know too much about cars but I do know the basics. Thanks in advance.

OK: Basics: A brake caliper can freeze and hold at the latest pressure it recieved. They only retract by a square "O" ring that can not overcome a frozen brake caliper's problems. If I read this right the repair would be new or rebuilt calipers. There could be more needed so get pro help with brakes, T
