i have a 1985 ford ltd crown vic 302 50k miles one day started to drive it and after 20-30min started to miss alittle bit got worse and got better would die but fire right back up seem like it runs better when i have the gas pushed more had the chargeing system check out it was fine..and i changed the fuel filter had a bunch of black stuff in it after i blew it out any help or advise would be greatful thank wayne

you are most likely not burning all the fuel in the cylinders your coil has gotten weak you should have your primary and secondary ignition parts looked at

yea just spent 500$ at the mechanic shop said they changed the (ECM) but still haveing problems feel like i am going down a dirt road when driveing misses that bad and when foot is let off gas when driveing doesn't slow down as fast, idle high at stop lights ?

Did the $500 include a tune-up?

Check for vacuum leaks including the soup can looking thing on the driver's inner fender under hood, T
