Steering wheel is very loose,and van now won't start. I know I can tighten it, but how? Thanks

There should be U type bolts looking up from brake pedal. This is very unusual for these to be loose unless somehow while lowering column was needed for some repair. I think that being real loose could effect the ignition switch. If it's a free play in steering it would be different to repair but that wouldn't also effect the ignition if so. If you mean just the wheel there is a nut that holds the wheel on that you could get to by removeing the trim from behind to get at. Still it would be real odd for this. Certainly this is a safety issue and needs to be tended to at once, T
