Hi People, got a couple of questions about a 1987 opel corsa 1.02 5 pue, 5 door , 4 speed, almost antique hatchback! Sometimes after i switch of the engine the motor turns over again, and sometimes when i acelerate while driving it chugs, almost as if it was in a gear thats to high for the velocity im driving at, or has dirt in the petrol...does anyone know if these have to do with the fuel filter or is it possible that its a timing belt problem? also it seems to be getting a bit to much petrol, reving high in idle, can anyone tell me how to adjust that, someone said theres a screw on the carburettor to adjust it.... and finally, how bad is white smoke? if im not mistaken black smoke is from burning oil, so what does white smoke mean? normally its when i start the motor or its working hard going up hills.... they dont make em like to used to so anyhelp is greatly appreciated!! Thanks

I don't know of this vehicle, but white smoke is oil burning....check the plugs, you could be looking at valve stem seals going bad and if oil keeps leaking on the valves, eventually it causes a burt valve problems if not already.
