Year: 1989
Make: Toyota / Lexus
Model: UCF11 Celsior/ LS400
Engine size: 4ltr V8

Hi Guys, Greetings from the rainy gold coast.

Last night when I tried to go to the gym, my front suspension failed to fill with air, I could hear a hissing sound from the back and I knew that one of my air lines had popped off the valve.

So I go into the boot, remove the covering and expose the air tank and valve.

Picture of the valve with missing line:

So you can see it's blown off and blown the little silver clamp that holds it in place.

Only problem is for the life of me I can't find where this line has gone! It must of disappeared down some hole. I can chase back the other leads to their homes but it gives me no clue as to where number 4 has gone.

Does anyone have any experience with air lines? Can you please lend a hand?

Lexus LS400 wasn't sold here in the states until 1990, but I believe things really didn't change much.

According to the service information there is no forth line at the height control valve in the boot. You have one line from the height control valve at the front of the vehicle and then a left and right air bag lines. Three in total.

Where is the air leak coming from on the valve? You may need to use a bottle of soapy water to pinpoint the exact location.

Hi There thank you very much for the reply.

Yes it appears you are right all 3 cables are connected at the back and it looks like there is no air leak from the back...

Because I found where the air is coming from, but now I have no idea how to fix this.

It's definitely from the front right of the car, just before the right front wheel.

The hose that is leaking air is poking outside the car! Definitely detached from 'somewhere' I can look inside the fender and see a few hoses and what I think is the compressor but not where to attach it or what I need to re attach it.

You're going to have to look up in there. Probably by removing the inner wheel house panel or with the vehicle on a lift looking up from underneath. The line that is hanging has to be from the front height control valve or the compressor.

The yellow caps are where lines attach.
