I have a 1990 Dodge B250 with 318 5.2 liter. All my emission was not working and I have fixed everything including the vacuum ports and lines that where clogged to know end and in the throttle body vacuum to the in-take as well. The vehicle is %100 better but I still get that rich fuel smell from exhaust and all my trouble shooting has come down to the Vapor Canister. Is there a way to check the canister? I can't blow through either of the two bigger lines on the canister, and the little line which has a diaphram in it is o.k. Can I check this canister to see if it's good by blowing through it or is there a method in checking it?

Remove it and see if it is heavy. It should be fairly light. If the charcoal particles have absorbed enough fuel, it can render the cannister ineffective. All it is then is a fuel vapor storage area. Do you keep squeezing the trigger after the pump shuts off? That will put raw fuel in the cannister and destroy it. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
