The truck starts up at high rpm then dies unless you manualy press the throttle untill it warms up a bit, then it runs ok. It only does this when it is cold. There is also a sputter sound that seems to be comming from the exhaust manifold area at all times. I would like to fix it myself but I dont know where to begin. Thanks for any help.

sounds like you might have a vacuum leak
