1990 cadillac seville Sign In

1990 cadillac seville wont start says "start diabled due to theft system.. can any one help me or tell me why this would say it .. took it to the garage and they say nothing comes up when they put it on the computer thing... we have checked everything ...

What is not working? Does the engine crank and not start or nothing at all?

Some of those cars used a PIA chip in the key and only a dealer should disable that if that's the problem and you prove it's your car. T

the key has a resistor on it clean it off and retry starting car after 15 mins .

those are the old URT systems if you have any controller,computer what you want to call it that is off the bus [not responding] then nothing will work right try holding your heat and off button at the same time this will run a self test off all systems and give you codes after you do that post the codes abd the theft systems are easy to by-pass on those
