I have a 92 Corsica that was bogging and struggling for power during acceleration, it was happening for a few days, until it got too rough to drive down the rode. Prior to that I had replaced the Fuel pump, spark plugs and wires, and finally the ECM module, because it wouldnt start. Fixed that. Now its doing this power issue, so I replaced the fuel filter thinking it was old and clogged, and the EGR valve looked rough so bought a new one of those and an air filter, tried it today and its still doing it, nothing changed. Idles fine and then when I put it into reverse it would bog and almost stall as I applied the gas. Anyone have something similiar happen to them?

Go easy with the "parts cannon" on a now 29 model year old car! Basics first: Vacuum leaks and or exhaust restriction. Next valve timing and a compression test could show one in the same - chains or belts this old still jump and might not totally quit but will show as low compression on all. If not within about 15% of each other there's trouble lurking beyond the parts toss game. The exhaust restriction shouldn't really make things run rough, rather smooth loss of power, T
