Hi, I have a 1992 Pontiac Lemans 1.6L with just over a 100k miles on it. Around a month ago the car started to give a slight chug as well as being very low on power while on our way home from Orlando. It decelerates while going up large bridges and has a chugging, pulling thing happening. It also seems to be havin trouble shifting into third gear. I have to let off the gas a little to make it shift. This only happens after the car warms up. It runs great for the first 5-10 miles or so and then it starts with its antics. We took it in and our mechanics replaced our distributor, coil, plugs, wires and our... map sensor I think he called it. He said it showed up clean on the diagnostic machine after that so we took it home and about halfway there it started it all over. Ive also recently replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and air filter. Please help and please let me know if you need anymore info. Thanks, Shakey

Shakey; Have your mechanic check for excessive exhaust backpressure. Just a thought. Loren SW Washington
