1992 acura vigor problem

Car broke down the other day. I stopped at a gas station, turned car off and went to start it and it acted like it wasn't getting any gas? was thinking fuel pump? Got car home and was filling around with it. I can get it started and keep it running like normal if I have the ignition key half way between normal and starting position. Could it be the ignition switch? Someone told me it could be a fuel pump emergency relay switch? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, they are pretty notorious for bad ignition switches. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
