Hi, I have a 1993 Buick Lesabre with a 3.8L V6. 145,000 miles. Within the last 2 months i have had the car just die on me. It will do it once and then not again for a week or two, On the other hand i have had it happen 3 times in one day. I does not seam to matter if it is cold or hot, drive park or reverse. It will die and them just start right back up so i have eliminated the battery and charging system because if they were the problem it would not keep firing right back. The only thing that i have noticed when it happens is it has done it if i turn my headlights on. open a door or turn the radio. Other times i have just been driving and it has done it. I have taken it to my school and put a code reader on it which said nothing and have checked most connections under hood. The only thing that has been changed or added recently was a new water pump and surp belt but it did not start dying until a month or two after that. I have checked our service computers and there is no service bullitens for this problem. The only thing i can think left to do is start taking of parts and testing and replacing them but that can get expensive in a hurry. I appreciate any ideas you might have. Thanks

Check your battery cable conections at both ends with a "memory saver" used to save stored info. Some of these will go thru a "re-learn" mode and even can stall while it's re-learning. Even a quick disconnect could trigger this and even with cables tight but not getting a good connection. Food for thought, T
