I have a 94 dakota 3.9ltr v-6 auto trans. When i first start the truck it wants to stall the first few times i use the brakes. It's almost like it's wanting to surge fwd and then it stalls. It Starts back up, but I find i'm having to apply the brakes harder the first few times to keep it from trying to go fwd.does this sound llike a tranny prblm or possiblly a brake/vacumn issue???

This sounds like a vacuum booster problem. Make sure hose to it is in good shape. There should be a "check" valve usually right on/into the booster which may be cracked - just look for troubles right there. Try plugging the line to the booster at the booster (just stay still as you won't have power brakes) and use parking brake, shift and if the stalling, surging problem is gone it that. A large vacuum leak there will effect other vacuum sensing things which should be corrected with that fixed, T
