1996 blazer 4x4 problems

I have a 96 blazer 4.3l my four wheel drive will not engage at all. the shifter is on the floor. when i go to put in 4 wheel drive nothing no lights indicating it's in and no 4 wheel drive it's has if i had just done nothing. could you help and tell me what the problem is and roughly how hard to fix on my own or how much roughly to have someone fix?????

It happened to one of my own a full size C/K and it was the actuator. I let the trans guy just do the job and yes I get discounts but it was in or around $300 and it works fine now. I'm not very good with 4WD and seek out help myself for the things that techs have dedicated their traing to, T

what about vacum lines????? or is it def. the actuator

i just looked up the part on napa .com is it the larger one or smaller one. the larger is 51.99 the smaller is 33.99????

If you can take the suspect part with you with VIN #s for the vehicle. If really a problem go to a GM dealer and that will end the hunt, T
