I recently inherited a 1997 Nissan Sentra from my grandmother. It only has 8,500 miles, thats right only 8,500 miles. What maintenance would you suggest for this vehicle since it will be rotated into regular use? Thank you.

Hopefully it was garaged. If not done recently I would change fluids, set tire pressure, inspect brakes, add solvent to fuel and drive that tank of fuel out and start with fresh. A fuel filter would not be a waste. Some problems will crop up with low use vehicles. More problems will happen if stored or garaged outdoors - usually rust on brake parts. Rubber parts take a hit with age. If a timing belt is used I'd just replace it because of age not the miles. One might think miles is all that counts but age counts too. Expect some surprises when regualar service and use of the vehicle begins and you can get thru that and have a nice older but dependable car, T
