1998 Firebird No Start Sign In

Hi Folks, I am new to this forum, and have a problem with a firebird I traded a dually for. The car was wrecked right rear and I installed a new quarter panel. Had the battery disconnected for some time and the gas tank removed to do the welding. To make it short put the car back together, installed gas tank and put a new battery in it, the old one was toast. On my first attempt to start it popped, ( could hear the fuel pump charge prior to turning key ) but refused to start. Now I can't hear the fuel pump at all and it will not start. This car has 3.8 V-6 and auto trans, it is loaded and does have anti theft. Could this be the problem? The car has 101,000 miles and I know GM vehicles, (my wifes 1997 Buick with 207,000 miles and still original fuel pump, plus many others I have replaced with just as many miles from new.) and doubt the pump is bad. The new pump is costly and if their is a way to reset something please let me know. I have checked all relays, fuses, and connections and still no fuel pump operation. Thanks to all who can help! Craig
