i need help starting my nissan after replacing fuel pump

It should start up pretty quick. A gas engine doesn't need to be primed like a diesel would. If it still doesn't start, listen to see if you can hear the pump run. If you don't hear it you will need to hook up a test light from a good ground and touch the probe tip to the wire. Turn the key on engine off. The light should glow for a few seconds and then turn off. If it does, check the ground wire going to the fuel pump to make sure it is clean and tight. If the test light doesn't glow at all, check the fuses. If they are ok you may have a faulty fuel pump relay or an open wire between the relay and pump.
