OK, OK, take a pill! Perhaps a brake problem. 1999 - Does this have rear disc brakes? If so the parking brake is a small drum brake inside the rotor and can get all messed up unseen. See if parking brake works properly as with either type it might be dragging or something and you hear it starting off,

im not sure sure if it has disc brakes in back. the parking brake works like is should. The noise only happens from a dead stop when u give it gas. u can feel a small jerk below the vehicle like something got hung up. Could it just be the driveline needs greasing and its sticking when i give it gas? i dont know

You can see what kind of brakes just looking thru the wheel. A u-joint could be a problem but they frequently will crackle first but no telling. There's really nothing to grease in the driveline.

Brake dust can make noise. Whether the service brake for rear is disc or drum doesn't matter. Disc has a drum brake in it and the regular drum works as both - just same brakes actuated by cable instead of hydraulic pressure. Enough dust can certainly make noise. With your complaint they should be taken off and inspected, adjusted as applicable and cleaned. Disc is a little bit of a project to take caliper and the disc off to inspect the drum parking brake. The drum brake just pulls off or if untouched from new may have clips to hold it on during assembly which can be eliminated. Many can be quite stuck on.

This is fairly straight forward to check but you can get in trouble unless you are not familiar with this stuff. Do you intend to check this out yourself? Let me know and let's go from there,

Re: 1999 GMC YUKON HONKS AT ME Sign In

they appear to be disc brakes. No im not doing it myself, i just bought the vehicle 2 weeks ago and it was fine, it is under a small warranty and is going to dealer to see if they can figure the problem. The brakes seem to work great. I know this sound isnt normal, i dont think its serious. When it makes the sound, it seems to be right where the tranny is. But tranny works great anywhere we go. Dont think its the problem either.

It's not normal and you should chase down the warranty especially in just two weeks,
