Whenever I fill 200 Chevrolet Caviler with gas it pours out from under the car until it gets down to a certain level then it stops.

Well all I have to say is that there’s a leak; which is quite obvious I know. The part that you need to do, is too have someone get under there and find where it’s originating from and get it repaired; as soon as possible! Not even because of the cost of the fuel leaking on the ground or the environmental issues that is being allowed to happen but for yours and others safety! One stray cigarette butt thrown out of someone’s window, a stone striking the bottom of the car, causing a spark or fuel that could possibly be leaking on hot exhaust pipes are all potential fire risks. Even when you’ve used up some of the fuel and it stops “pouring out”; the gas fumes can still come out of wherever the thing is leaking from. These fumes or gas vapors are more explosive then gas in its liquid form. If you’ve ever seen how fast a gasoline fire spreads or explodes in a car you wouldn’t be posting a question here; you’d be at a garage having it repaired. Sorry I don’t have a quick easy fix for you; just some reality. Dan. Canadian "EH"
