2000 Grand Am GT Skips

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT with a 3.4 V6 engine. It has 115,000 miles. The car skips especially when I drive uphill. I have brought it to mechanics who have replaced the plugs and wires, and the fuel and air filters, all with no change to the skipping. Anyone know what it could be?

Are you getting a check engine light or a service engine soon light? Could be a weak coil, but I'd think that it would be more severe of a miss and should set a trouble code. Have you had an injection service done? Should be performed about every 40K miles. A dirty or partially plugged injector can cause those symptoms. Loren SW Washington
