I have a 2000 daewoo lanos. I changed the brake pads in the front. this was my first time and i am stubborn and did it myself i have a little practice but am not a pro by any means. i got the brakes on and tried to put the caliper on but the caliper piston wasn't out far enough, this is where i messed up. i tried to push the piston in but couldn't so i took off the brake lines from the caliper and pushed the piston in then put it all back together and now i have no brakes so i loosened the brake lines and pumped the brakes until fluid came out then while the brakes were held down i tightened the lines again. so i know there isn't air in the lines but the brakes still don't feel right. so any help would be greatly appreciated.

feel free to email me at personal info removed

You cannot "pump the brakes" with a loose line, every time you let up the pedal, air enters the system.
This to me sounds like it needs to be bled properly to get the air out of the system.
If i'm reading this correctly...
