2001 Dodge Dakota/TPS problem.

Has anyone had any problems before with their TPS stalling their truck? Went to Nappa yesterday and brought a whole new TPS and to no avail the problem was still there. NO engine fault codes comes up when connected to a computer reader. As soon as the truck starts it would die, Without the tps the truck will run just not well. If its not the TPS could it be the ECM?
