I have a 2001 Ford Taurus, 3.0 V-6, (U - V.I.N.) with 137K miles. After I start and run the car for a bit and turn it off, it acts like it's not getting gas and fails to start. After I wait about 30 to 60 minutes, it starts and runs. Is it the fuel pump or something else? Thanks.

You'll have to check for spark, fuel pressure, and injector pulse when it doesn't want to start. Once you know what is missing, you'll have direction for diagnosing your issue. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I addition to the steps DS posted you may also want to get the codes pulled.......Maybe theres a P0320 lurking around there in the memory....

It was the fuel pump. Replaced and running fine. Thanks.
