Hi, i need help with figuring out why both of the front blinkers on my 2001 Crown Victoria (Police interceptor model) 4.6L. I will be able to check the car after 3:40 today, so any suggestions to test will still be helpful! The front blinkers do not blink unless i have the hazard lights on, but the back blinkers work perfectly. The odd thing is, when i have the headlights on, The blinkers come on and stay on along with the headlights, but they still won't blink. Just ask me if you need any more information. Edit: Forgot to mention i have tried changing the actual blinkers. That didn't help, so i put the OEM ones back in.

? Because this probably WAS a real ''Emergency" vehicle with flashing lights once I personally think if not as dumb as just both bulbs blew it might be wiring that was altered and put back for ordinary use has lost a connection to the sockets? I have no way of knowing what might have been done for lighting for this so lost except what you might find was messed with, with the wires to those bulbs? T

I know on ONLY the police interceptor models they have a random headlight flasher mounted somewhere. its near the battery in my car, not too close, but it has the wires crimped. should i check the crimped together wires, possibly? i read those could be causing it also, since they are wired to the blinkers.

Excellent - you already know something about what was done and should be undone for public sale. Crimps ARE NOT original and place to check at least continuity thru those or do a better job of splicing them as needed. Just no way I can know as I really doubt all use the same features and really doubt the factory did more than make it "Police Package Ready" with engine, suspension brakes and more to be finished off outside the factory to specs wanted. I know they made the chassis for this car's basic design to be "Limo Ready" knowing it would be altered and hold more weight plus cut to whatever aftermarket maker legally made it into a specialty vehicle. Worked on some and was frequently a wire chase literally to see where what was added. Difference with limos is they stay limos not put back to regular sedans again wouldn't be worth it, T

The front turn signal bulbs are double filament. The other filament is for running lights, so the running lamp filaments will be on when the head lamps are on. The bulbs and wiring should be good because the fronts work with the hazards. Do the turn signal indicators work when using the turn signals? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Ok. I'll check the crimped together wires when I get home and tell you if it fixed it.
