2001 ford taurus battery keeps dying

I have a 2001 Ford Taurus SE. A week ago I came out and the car was completely dead. I jumped it and it was fine...but after not driving it for a day was dead again. The batter is 11 months old, it has a brand new starter and alternator. All of the fuses are good. I have double checked to make sure all of my lights are turning off..glovebox, trunk, etc and everything seems fine. Could it just be one of the cables or where the positive cable attaches to the starter...? Could something like that drain the battery? :( I'm trying to self diagnose so any help is appreciated!

The age of the battery means nothing. You need to have the battery tested before doing anything else. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

agree - new is not a guarantee of being good. as well as checking battery- check the alt, a quick test with voltmeter OR after jumping and getting running take advantage of the FREE batt alt tests at some of the auto parts stores ie advance and auto zone - just do NOT turn eng off... If a batt and alt test do not identify an issue we will need to check for a battery draw- how are you at using a your test light and DVOM?

I'm not equipped to do any of the tests really...my brother told me to take it to Autozone and have them check to see if the battery is any good. Can they check the alternator there as well?

If the battery is not fully charged can they still test it? I charged it overnight but put it back in today and cannot go to Autozone til the morning, so I know it'll lose some charge.

Leave it disconnected overnight. If it's dead in the morning, then it was no good anyway.
