2002 Cavalier LS Won't Start

Hello everyone, I'll apologize in advance if I don't use the right terms but I'll do my best.
I have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 4-cyl 5-spd manual with a little over 100,000 miles on it.
The other morning I started the car and was on my way when the engine just shut off about a block from my house. There were no loud noises or sputtering like that, just turned off. The power was still on though, radio, lights etc. When I tried to start it I could just hear the starter cranking but didnt sound like the engine was trying to turn over. Listened to someone that said it was the starter and replaced it but that did nothing, still sounded exactly the same. (and NAPA wouldnt take the part back). Tried jumping it and that didn't work either. A friend that works on cars came over and said it sounded like no fire so he checked my spark plugs and fuses (with the key on). He said there was juice running up to the ignition module but none coming from the coil so I replaced the module and coil but it still does the exact same thing. He also said there was no voltage coming from the fuse labeled crank under the hood but wasnt sure if that had anything to do with it. Also getting no codes on diagnostic tool.
So far I'm down 400$ of unreturnable parts and have no idea what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All "crank, no start" conditions are approached in the same way. Every engine requires certain functions to be able to run. Some of these functions rely on specific components to work and some components are part of more than one function so it is important to see the whole picture to be able to conclude anything about what may have failed. Also, these functions can ONLY be tested during the failure. Any other time and they will simply test good because the problem isn't present at the moment.
If you approach this in any other way, you are merely guessing and that only serves to replace unnecessary parts and wastes money.
Every engine requires spark, fuel and compression to run. That's what we have to look for.
These are the basics that need to be tested and will give us the info required to isolate a cause.
1) Test for spark at the plug end of the wire using a spark tester. If none found, check for power supply on the + terminal of the coil with the key on.
2) Test for injector pulse using a small bulb called a noid light. If none found, check for power supply at one side of the injector with the key on.
3) Use a fuel pressure gauge to test for correct fuel pressure, also noticing if the pressure holds when key is shut off.
4) If all of these things check good, then you would need to do a complete compression test.
Once you have determined which of these functions has dropped out,
you will know which system is having the problem.

The tests listed would have saved you all that. Stop listening the ones who thought they were helping. It cranked and you replaced the starter. What were they thinking? Of course you can't take these type things back.
"Sounded like no fire" I take that as no spark but seems nobody tested anything to me.
The list Hammer Time posted is what you do and seems you don't have access to test for things yourself so time to send it to a shop that can diagnose it out.
IMO nothing has been proven so far at all so time for some real help,
