2002 cadillac eldorado VIN code 9

My dad bought this car with a blown motor, Local salvage yard sold him a Y motor instead of 9 motor. car runs but not really right. Any advice is greatly appreciated jordan88rx7@yahoo.com

It sounds like yo.u have the touring model. The VIN 9 motor is the high output and the Y is the standard motor.
Did all the wiring match up correctly?
