03 Durango 4.7L, 210,000 miles but only around 12,000 on a rebuilt engine(long block swap, didn't rebuild original engine). Few weeks ago it just died when I came to a stop and then had a little trouble restarting. Was fine until about a week later and with the cruise set at 60, it stalled. Not sure if it completely died but the RPM's dropped to zero and a few seconds later it came back to life and ran just fine. Did this again twice in the same day just last week. Seems like if I tap the gas pedal when it does it, that brings it out of it. Took it to the shop and they couldn't duplicate the problem. Picked it up from the shop and it did it again in the less than 10 miles to the house. I don't notice anything electrical being affected and the shop ran diagnostics and got no codes but they were leaning towards fuel pump. It is the original fuel pump but to their credit, they didn't want to make me spend the money without being sure. Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

If it hasn't already been done, someone needs to scan for stored codes, even if the check engine light is not on. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
