2003 Pontac Bonneville SSEI 6 CYL Supercharged 121000 miles. While driving with the heater on the heater starts blowing cold air and the temperature guage rises. Then the heater starts blowing warm air and the temperature guage drops. I also have to repalce the coolant at least once a week. What's going on?

It's possible to have a sticking thermostat with a small external coolant leak as well but with those symptoms I would definitely check the cooling system for exhaust gases to make sure there isn't a head gasket issue going on. A bad head gasket would account for all those symptoms..........
