While driving the car, acceleration declined. Foot to the floor, and was not climbing past 50mph. Then, temperature shoots up, then dies. Fuel pump was not responding when car was turned on. Replaced that, and now I can hear and feel it working. However, the engine still won't turn. It'll crank and bump like it going to turn, but never does. Pulled the coil packs and checked plugs. All good. I don't know much about cars so any advice would be helpful. Don't have the money for a mechanic.

Temp shot up has to be addressed 1st thing when you find why it doesn't run now. Don't use the term "turn over" as it means different things to different people. It either cranks and doesn't start or doesn't crank at all.

This is for all crank no start the whole list checked off to know what is failing,

If this thing overheated to the point of shutting itself down, you could have serious internal damage now. The compression check with tell that.

Can't afford to have a mechanic diagnose it, but can spend money on parts guessing what it is. Obviously it wasn't the fuel pump.

Any trouble codes stored in the engine computer? Write down the numbers.

How is the coolant level in the radiator?
