I have had trouble with getting the key to turn for awhile now.have to jimmy it everyday.drove to friends house, car was acting fine.get in to leave and the switch will not turn.lights come on its not battery.steering wheel not stuck and its in Park.can't even get it towed since can't get into neutral.i have hit the key switch with tools thinking it's the pins since i wiggle it so much every day to get started. Thank u for your time and thank you for your help.

You can tow it. There should be a Park release slot near the shifter.

You're going to have to do some investigating to isolate the problem, likely removing the ignition lock to see if that is what is jamming.

It can be towed, they do if you park in totally wrong places or if a twisted wreck - right?

It's now been fussed with and forced so IDK what is broken worse the remote parts to shifter or key cylinder itself - I think all these are in the dash not on the column just never messed with that type that also locks wheel.

Make sure you have the right key or try another that also once worked? It's just not some standard fix now that you forced it, hit at it so can't know.

Make sure where it gets towed will take this on so you don't have to tow it twice but think that's your only option now unless it can be worked on where it is - ask around? Maybe a locksmith would??
