2004 Crysler Sebring making creaking/sqeaking noise. Sign In

Hello.

My car is a 2004 Chrysler Sebring LX with about 65000 miles on it (unsure of engine size right now). For the last 1,000 miles I have been hearing a creaking (maybe a little bit of a squeak too, but more of a creak) noise. The noise happens randomly while driving, and does not change in intensity or volume weather I am accelerating, slowing down, or moving at a constant speed. The car does not feel or drive any different while driving when the noise is being made. On the highway I cannot really hear the noise, but that may be from the road noise? I feel like it is coming from the front driver side wheel, but I cannot pinpoint it there. I am not car-wise at all, I would describe it as there being a little rocking horse in there somewhere that creaks while I drive. Now I had the bearing hub replaced by a mechanic who rode in the car with me to listen to the noise, but I can still hear it, though the noise doesn't happen as much (though I have only driven 20 miles since then so I don't know if it will be happening as much just yet).

Any ideas what could be going on?
