2004 Mazda Tribute 6cyl, 3.0 L 290,000km Issue: After idling for 15 minutes from ignition, my 2004 Mazda Tribute is overheating. The sound coming from the engine block is that of soup boiling whilst coolant spews from the overflow reservoir. The temperature gauge on the dashboard stays exactly in the mid range position as though nothing is wrong. Hoses, with engine running, do not feel hard when squeezed. Apart from topping up the coolant I have not tried anything else. Many thanks for any assistance given.

Check to see if the coolant is circulating through the thermostat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
