2004 Saturn Vue Engine size - ?? 110,000 miles Forewarning: I know very little about cars, so sorry if any of this posts causes you to cringe. I have had my car for about a year now after getting it from my dad. Previously, an older couple owned it driving it primarily to church and for chores. I drove back and forth from WI to NC (~1,000 miles) 4 times and those were the longest trips it has had. When I returned from NC, I got the car and wrench light (sorry, I don't have a pic) that turns on when I shift into 3rd gear and release the gas. I took it into a GMC dealer and they couldn't get any codes from the light. I recently got my transmission fluid replaced which helped the car shift easier than it used to. The only other issues it has is when it goes from freeway to city roads. The car likes to stay in a more powerful mode and has more umph than necessary in the city. I rely on my car for work (~90 miles daily) and there is no immediate problem that I can diagnose. If anyone has had a similar situation or could help share some possible problems, I would greatly appreciate it.

They couldn't get anything then go to another GM dealer that can. It should mean the same as a trouble code is there to be read. If there's an "OK" right near it see what the owner's manual says. Are you just overdue for routine maintenance? That just might be all it means but still the GMC dealer should have known or read something from that or the trouble is the connection? T

What all would be included in the routine maintenance? The owner's guide listed a lot of stuff. I've had some work done on it already:- Rotor and break pads
- New tires
- Oil
- Transmission Fluid
Thanks

If all that was due on the list that would trigger a reminder the place that did it would or should have reset it. The car doesn't know oil was changed that I know of by itself you tell it you did it and it counts miles and time as listed, T

If that dealer didn't know what that light meant, then you need to run far away from those people. That is an indicator for a trouble code in the Body Control Module, not the Engine Control so they need to scan the correct module if they expect to find the codes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
