2005 Chevrolet Malibu LT 6 Cyl 3.5L 157000 Before the big problem i had today last week i had to jump start the car at work with no idea how the battery drained. Earlier this week, had to call roadside service to jump it again, also with no idea how the battery drained. Today WHILE i was driving the car engine just seems to shut off and i couldn't accelerate. So the car rolled to a stop on the side of the road. The lights were still on so i don't know if it was the battery but i tried to start it but it wouldn't turn over. After a few times of trying to start the car it went from trying to turn over to just not turning over and hearing just a clicking sound when i try to start it. So thats my problem i know it's long but i'm praying it's just a battery problem that needs replacing. Also i'm not a gear head so if anyone can help me i need help in the simplest of terms. Thank you

You'll need to have both the battery and charging system tested. With the 2 jump starts and now stalling out; there's a good chance there's a charging system issue. Dan. Canadian "EH"

Check both battery and charging system. Lights don't always use much, running takes more and starting or cranking engine the most so all must be up to par. Drain? Not just yet - check listed things first, T

If that's AAA you don't have a prayer. Their batteries are all junk and they refuse to admit it. They make you jump through all kinds of hoops like trickle charging it for 12 hours before testing it when you already know it's bad. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

If you call your road side have them boost your car and then follow you to a proper repair facility or have them tow it to a facility. Your battery maybe fine, just discharged due to a charging system issue? Dan. Canadian "EH"
