A few weeks ago after driving home from work (about an hour) I stopped at the store and ran in for 5 mins. and when i came out, my car wouldn't start. The lights, radio, etc. worked fine, but when I turned the key nothing happened...no click, nothing. After waiting for help for about 30 min. I tried it again, and it started up just fine. I took it in to my service guy and they ran diagnostics on the battery, alternator, and starter and all came out fine. They said it may have just been a fluke. It was fine for a few weeks, and it happened again last night. After again driving home from work for an hour, I ran into a store quickly and when I came out, it wouldn't start. Lights, radio, etc. were fine, but wouldn't start. While waiting for the tow, after around 45 mins, I tried it again and it started right up. I took it back to my service guy and they again found nothing wrong. But, obviously this is not the case. Has anybody else experienced this or has any idea of what this could be?

I think that store is bad luck for you, I would go to a different store. Hey, it's my B'day, I feel I can get away with kidding a little today. Sounds like you may have sort of a flat spot in the starter or starter solenoid. Won't happen all the time but will not repair itself either. I suggest the next time it happens to tap on the startes body and then try to start it. If not, tap on the solenoid. That may narrow it down (the problem) and you than can proceed accordingly.. Good Luck
