Very low miles and very well taken care of but i know it is old now. About a month ago I was pulling into a parking spot so my speed was probably around 1 mph at best and right when i put the brake on to stop it almost stalled or it felt like that. Out of the corner of my eye I did see the gauges move. It came right back to normal so I never thought much about it. I have driven it about 10 times since the with no issues. Yesterday i had to drive about 45 miles to the Dr. and not far into it I slowed down to a stop to turn right and as I barely started to accelerate it did the same thing. Again I saw the gauges move. So about halfway into my trip all of a sudden the airbag system light came on and I have never saw that before. When I started the car up to leave the Dr. the airbag light was off again and on the 45 mile drive home there were no issues. I stepped on it a bit at low speed and average speed and no issues at all. Runs fine. I do live in the dusty desert and I hate to say it but it's been a few years since i checked the air filter. I took it out today and it looks pretty clean actually. Its not impossible for a critter up here to chew wires so I looked in the engine and I did not see anything out of the ordinary. When I started it up today that airbag light came on and then went back off. Any ideas on what could be going on? I have a mechanic up here i will bring it too but I would like to get some opinions here first. Thanks for any help. For the airbag light, wait to see if it comes on again and if it does, take it to a shop so the can read the codes in the Airbag module for a starting point. Don't try to do this yourself unless you have access to a dealer level scan tool. As for the unstable idle try this. First eliminate all vacuum or air leaks in the system (very important) . You may have a bad IAC ( idle air control) but try cleaning the throttle body first. Remove the intake snorkel, have someone hold the throttle wide open for you and scrub the back side of the throttle plate and surrounding bore with an old tooth brush and some carb cleaner. Be sure to spray some into the small holes next to the throttle plate. That should help stabilize the idle.
