Ex was driving my 2005 hyundai accent last night, it stalled at a light and wouldn't start. When i picked it up today i found this plug dangling. anyone know where this should plug into?

Look for the matching other end just down from your photo. Appears like a fuel injection connection it would stall, T

I can't find anywhere that this would plug into, there are no open plugs in reach and no other cords dangling loose anywhere. I did however find that the timing belt is not moving at all when trying to start. Could this plug be just an extra that maybe had a cap that came off?

Look as far as the plug can reach real hard. If nothing there is there a hole for what the other ends went totally? What happened? Recently messed with for what? T

Start with basics, check for spark, fuel, & compression. If your engine sounds "different" now when you crank it over, you will want the check your timing belt. That would show up on a comp test or take the oil cap off and see if you can see the rocker arms move while someone cranks it over.
