2005 kia spectra5 squealing noises

i have a kia spectra5 2005, and theres a sort of loud squealing noise coming from the engine i think. it stops when it idles and when you apply the break. so ive been told it might be the alternator belt or the breaks. i need some help.

Guess: You have brake wear sensors like a fingernail of metal to make noise on purpose while braking AND moving and most will shut up when using brakes when low but not gone.
Gotta check them and just see if alternator belt is tight enough anyway,
