So I have a 2008 Honda Civic LX 1.8L with 170000km. This thing idles good and steady when in park. When at a light in Drive it hiccups and seems worse when A/C is on when coming to a stop it goes really low idle. Also when driving on the highway only when vehicle goes into its 5 gear the rpms are around that 1800-2200 rpm and if you are very slowly speeding up it doesn't hiccup but if you give it a little heavier push on gas or going uphill in cruise under load it stutters quite bad. Always staying in 5th. Keeping in mind this is automatic transmission as well. If say we are at 90km/hr and it's in 5th and rpms around 1800rpm and you give it to enough gas to shift down to 4th gear will bring rpms up and the vehicle does not chug at all. Not noticeable anyway. Any ideas on what a guy should start digging into on this thing? I have absolutely no engine codes being thrown. If this thing is stuttering as bad as you describe and you haven't cleared anything, there should be some evidence of it. I think I may change the out they plugs this weekend. I have a it booked into a mechanic shop this weekend that will put their diagnostician tester on it and check it out for me.
