2008 kia optima switch to neutral

Car starts fine. When I try to move it switches to neutral by itself. At the same time check engine, oil and battery lights go on. Exactly same lights go on if start the car and let it sit for a minute.

2.4l engine, 90000 mileage.

Sorry, have no idea how and what to check by myself.

The first thing you need to do is have the codes read and post the NUMBERS here.

Thanks for reply. Unfortunately I don’t have a reader and can’t drive to bodyshop. I am wondering whether it makes sense to tow it. If that’s something serious maybe it’s not worth to repair. Any guess without codes? Wink
